Seat belt and Helmet

Use of safety measures is very significant for safe driving. It is generally expected from a driver to take all necessary caution to make driving safer. One such measure of safe driving is the use of seat belt. Generally, it has been observed that the driver does not take the use of seat belt very seriously while driving. Considering this the Amendment Bill, 2016 enhances the penalty from INR 100 to INR 1000. Similarly the use of helmet is considered as a luxury and not mandatory by the driver of a two-wheeler. The proposed Amendement Bill enhances the penalty up to INR 1000.
